Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Replaced a 2005 engine and trans. (2.7L) with a 2002 engine/Trans 2.7L both
Chrysler Sebring covetable. The engine cranks but doesn't start. I have fuel
pressure but no spark at the spark plugs.

You replaced an old worn motor with an old worn motor , the computers don't recognize the transponder or something and it won't start You should have come here first

Even if it's exactly the same engine, and I'm not sure it is, there will be differences between engines that are three years apart. Those differences are primarily in the sensors and how the computer interfaces with them. If the engines are identical, and if so, they'll have the same numbers, you might get away with replacing the older sensors with the newer, so the ECM can talk to it.

I can find the wheel well splash shields but not the one that is under the car foe the engine, it is very frustrating! I tried ebay, Amazon, parts warehouse's no one has it.

my 99' sebring was low on trans fluid and I put a half quart of the wrong fluid in. my trans went into "limp mode" (stuck in 2nd gear). i did a complete trans flush and this did not fix the problem. the transmission is still stuck in 2nd. can somebody please give me a solution that will not require replacing the trans? 6 Answers
