Hey Guys,
Being Trion thought it such a great idea to um, respec everything crafting wise. We now have over 8,000 crafted items in our database that just got out of sync. In addition I think it's time we gave the marketplace a complete overhaul.
In the process we will introduce a new form of Discovery, Recipes. For those that are willing to help you will be able to edit the existing records to add in a recipe for each item which will dynamically build the cost & reward of the item based on the cost of materials.
Before I go too into details I want to try to setup a Crafters All Hands meeting on vent where I can go over how this new system is going to work and find us some volunteers who would be willing to help sync up their crafting profession to the website. This is going to be a massive undertaking but in the end it should prepare us for the future and make items be a lot more variable in price based on cost to create.
In addition with the retrofiring I plan on doing it should help make it easier to build pricing in the future on the fly in Rift and in GW2 (hopefully :D).

As I may not be able to attend meeting, I'll throw my name into the mix to help update the database. Currently, I'm being a stay at home dad so plenty of time to work on things when the baby isn't throwing mac and cheese everywhere. I am going to try to make this meeting, however that Saturday is The Rays Fan Fest in St. Pete. I live a couple hours from St. Pete. We are going with a group of friends so I might be a little late. I have a pretty long drive back home, it just depends on the kids and how long we end up staying. I am willing to volunteer to help in anyway I can though :)

I am willing to help with this. I have time to mess around with databases and good with organizing things. I've also raised all crafting and harvesting to 300 though I have to work on having endgame gear recipes.
Don't mess with Mama Bear, I might hug you too tight. =D

See something already changed. =DThe tempered bars no longer show up in refined materials, but under mining. They also are not giving artisan points anymore like the other refined materials with cool downs. Seeing as we haven't had the meeting yet, this just made me scratch my head. ::chuckles:: Don't get on much for two days while not feeling good and then see something different, I gets confuzzled. ;)Just something that made me go, "Hmm." Personally, if I had the money to fill one of these today I would do it regardless of what the marketplace gave me. =) First, I must regroup some dough on my chars after the spree I went on a bit ago filling CD materials.
Don't mess with Mama Bear, I might hug you too tight. =D

I'm trying to get some examples in for this weekends meeting and trying to tweek the prices to make sure it doesn't bleed everyone dry but also doesn't over-saturate the market like our current system does.
