With a Non-Refundable Rate, guests pay the full price if they cancel, make changes or don’t show up. Adding a Non-Refundable Rate to your property can reduce cancellations and help you secure guaranteed payment for reservations.

Setting up a Non-Refundable Rate

You need to have set up a Non-Refundable cancellation policy before you can set up your Non-Refundable Rate. You can do so by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the extranet
  2. Click on the Property tab and then on Policies
  3. In the Cancellation and prepayment policies section, click on Create a new cancellation policy
  4. Select your cancellation preferences and specify your conditions, then click Save

You can then follow the steps in the next section to add your Non-Refundable Rate. The new rate will appear in your Calendar. If you use a Channel Manager, your provider may require you to take additional steps to map your new rate plan.

You can remove theNon-Refundable cancellation policy by selecting 'Delete'in the same property settings.

Setting up a Non-Refundable Rate for the first time

If you’ve never set up a Non-Refundable Rate for your property, make sure you first set up a Non-Refundable cancellation policy and then follow these steps to set up your Non-Refundable Rate:

  1. Log in to the extranet
  2. Click on the Rates & Availability or Calendar & Pricing tab and then on Rate Plans
  3. Click Add a new rate plan
  4. Under Non-refundable click Add rate plan
  5. A short list of questions will appear to guide you through the setup – select the answers that best match your property’s needs
  6. Click Review to check your answers, then click Activate rate plan to finalise the new Non-Refundable Rate
  7. Depending on how you answer the questions, you may see additional messages that will guide you through any extra steps
